Joyann Sofio has been teaching students at an elementary and middle school level for more than 25 years. She currently teaches students in a specialized program designed for Highly Gifted students at a public middle school and has taught strategies for success to students, teachers, and parents. She is a Nationally Board Certified mentor teacher and was twice named a Teacher of the Year by Los Angeles Unified School District.
