Exploring Mathematics Using Desmos and Geogebra

The free online software programs Desmos and Geogebra provide mathematically gifted students opportunities to explore and discover mathematical relationships. With Desmos graphing software, students manipulate equations or graphs to analyze how changing one affects the other. Using Geogebra, students construct geometric figures then ‘drag’ the figures to create multiple examples that lead to generalization of properties of the figure. With minimal guidance, students can take off into their own mathematical investigations. Bring your own device.
