Philosophy of Sex for Gifted High School Students
Limited Capacity seats available

Gifted high school students have deep questions about sexuality that deserve to be addressed. Lamb will talk about how her new sex ed curriculum helps students develop an ethical framework for discussing controversial issues, such as sexual orientation and gender identity. Kaye will talk about her new trilogy—three philosophical novels about the philosophy of sex. Two friends, faced with a series of heart-stopping adventures, find wisdom in some of the greatest philosophers in history.

Storytelling on Steroids

Storytelling is a disappearing skill. Come to this session to play with a template that teaches gifted students about character development, narrative structure, plot complexities, and conflict resolution. Participants will learn techniques to stimulate creative thinking and improve you and your students’ storytelling skills. Moreover, this workshop incorporates skills of social-emotional and executive functioning. The template can be used as a story starter for written language as well as for visual arts integration.
