Participants will learn how to use a variety of children’s literature as a basis to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Art (STEAM) by developing a planning guide. Participants will be exposed to children’s literature such as Mike Mulligan and his STEAM Shovel, and Katy and the Big Snow-story content that is not typically associated with high-level STEAM based content while addressing the needs of the Gifted and Talented Learner.
