In this session, participants will share their successful practices that lead to diverse GATE programs. Then, we will examine common pitfalls in identification processes that can lead to underrepresentation. Finally, participants will be provided with data that shows how using ability tests with nonverbal items can help identify all gifted learners regardless of ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or culture.
