Brave New Worlds: The Gifted, Gaming and Social Media

Social media is ubiquitous and pervasive, but its fluid, magnetic and chaotic nature affects the gifted and talented in distinctive ways. Brave New Worlds offers a synopsis of the roles it plays in the lives of students, educators and families. Impacts of social media use on mental and physical well-being; cognitive and socioemotional development; creativity and critical thinking; perfectionism/impostor syndrome; dual exceptionality; cultivating resilience and growth mindset; technology overuse/addiction; among others will also be explored.
