Helping Gifted Students Advance Algebraic Thinking and Real Life Problem Solving Proficiency

Speaker will actively engage participants with complex, real-life problem solving, helping gifted students develop and extend mathematical thinking, reasoning, and deep understanding.  She will demonstrate how to fulfill and extend CCSS, while making rich, rigorous mathematics learning engaging for students.  She will share effective differentiation strategies and will engage attendees with exemplary problems and effective questioning strategies, as well as demonstrating how to use visuals and models effectively to help students develop a clear understanding of concepts.
