Who remembers making missions in school? Volcanoes? Science reports or presentation boards? All students are different, so why should they all complete the same science project? Choice is important to the gifted child. This is why educators should allow students to differentiate their own products simply by creating a meaningful objective. By creating a personalized objective, the product AND learning become more meaningful to the student and allows for deeper knowledge in an area of their choice.
