Students need to be armed with problem-solving skills at a deeper level to be successful innovators of the future. Fostering the patience and skills to interpret the language of mathematics can be taught using a simple Icon Frame. By using the Icons of Depth and Complexity developed by Sandra Kaplan, we can encourage our gifted students to face word stories head on!
