Algebra and Geometry: A Hybrid Approach to Learning

This presentation will describe a hybrid approach to teaching geometry and algebra to gifted middle school students. A hybrid course covering geometry and higher algebra standards was designed and taught by the researcher for two consecutive years. The course is still being implemented today, as its results have continued to be promising. During the presentation, the effectiveness of this course will be discussed along with the unique project-based learning opportunities that were developed to enhance this course's curriculum.
